Tomb Raider Multiplayer?

Lara Croft is a legendary figure in the gaming industry and she has lain dormant for quite awhile, she returns March 5 in her latest adventure titled “Tomb Raider”. The reboot of the franchise has been confirmed to be an origin series, with many expecting more from our British adventurer. But before we think of the future, one of the games unannounced features may have just been leaked, multiplayer.

UK Video Game retailer “GAME” recently posted the features of Tomb Raider on their website, within these details the multiplayer features within Tomb Raider have been leaked. There has been no word from Crystal Dynamics as yet, but this has to be a complete blunder from GAME’s side of things.

These features have since been removed from the sites page, but the details that were posted are listed below.

  1. A Turning Point: Experience Lara Croft’s intense origin story from a young woman to a hardened survivor.

  2. An All-New Raiding Experience: Explore a mysterious island filled with environmental puzzles, visceral combat, and ancient tombs to discover.

  3. Fight to Live: Salvage resources, gain experience, and upgrade Lara’s weapons to survive the island’s hostile inhabitants.

  4. Survive as a Team: Play a variety of multiplayer modes as Lara’s Shipmates or Yamatai’s Scavengers.

So far fan message boards are not happy about the inclusion of multiplayer in the latest Lara Croft experience, this mirrors the fan outcry towards The Last of Us including multiplayer earlier this year.

What is your stance? Are you against this inclusion? Or are you interested in what Crystal Dynamics could accomplish? Stay tuned to Analog Addiction as we know more.
