Story Details Behind Sleeping Dogs Halloween DLC

Late last week we reported on the latest Sleeping dogs DLC content coming this Halloween, known as Nightmare in North Point. Square Enix has now released some more concrete details of the story elements being incorporated into the zombie themed DLC.

Big Scar Wu was one of the most vicious triad gangsters in the entirety of Hong Kong, part of the sun On Yee his fellow members respected and feared him. Knowing of this the Grand Dragon decided he needed to be stopped, having had Wu stabbed 42 times before feeding his bloody cold corpse to the grinder located in the Smiley Cat cat-food plant, his resting place would be in the bellies of cats Hong Kong wide. In legend it is said those who do not receive a proper burial, will have their spirits return as a Hungry Ghost, damned to starve for eternity and only feeding on their own hatred.

Big Scar Wu is back from the dead

Hell is a terrible place, with a terrible sense of humour, when Big Scar Wu finally arrived in the underworld; he was given the nickname of Smiley Cat, the name which only fueled his anger and driving his desperate need for revenge. When Wu rose from hell to deal his vengeance to those who had wrong him, he brought along an army of Jiang Shi, with that vowing to eradicate the world of the Sun On Yee and to take over the city of Hong Kong himself.

Hong Kong is in chaos, the dead walk amongst the living and it is up to Wei Shen to face his most difficult challenge yet. To stop Smiley Cat and his army, he must bring forth Chinese magic, giving him the power to stand up against the sinister villain. Facing off against the ghosts of the Triads he has killed in the past, Shen must face these demons and send them back to hell once and for all.

Wei Shen is ready to save Hong Kong, are you?

The full teaser trailer we posted earlier this week is located below. Nightmare in North Point will be available this Halloween on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam.
