‘Saints Row IV: Re-Elected’ PS4 Being Recalled Across Australia

The retail PlayStation 4 version of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected has been recalled across Australia due to a “serious manufacturing issue”.

In a press release issued to Analog Addiction from the Australian publisher of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, it was revealed that an “incorrectly classified” version was released across the country, which has only effected the PlayStation 4 retail version.

“Unfortunately over the weekend, it has come to light that the PlayStation 4 retail release of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected has a serious manufacturing issue and a nationwide recall is now underway in Australia.” the statements reads.

“A manufacturing issue has caused an incorrectly classified version of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for our territory to be released. This strictly affects PlayStation 4 retail versions. All customers who have purchased the PlayStation 4 version of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected are encouraged to return to their retailer for a full refund.”

Though customers will receive a full refund for their already purchased copy, copies containing the “correct content” have been ordered and will arrive soon, with no replacements ready at this time.

Saints Row IV has had some bad luck in Australia before, with the original release previously banned due to select content breaching the Guidelines for the Classification of video games. After the breaching content was removed Saints Row IV also received a slight delay due to the “production process” before finally launching in Australia.

Analog Addiction “thoroughly enjoyedSaints Row IV, giving it an 8.8 in the original review. Saints Row IV: Re-Elected can still be purchased at retail on Xbox One, or digitally on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
