PlayStation Network Maintenance Scheduled For January 27

The PlayStation Network will be down for scheduled maintenance on Monday, January 27 from 5.30pm till 11.30pm GMT (6.30pm to 00.30am GMT).

The announcement was made on the European PlayStation Blog, noting the maintenance will be approximately 6 hours. Players who have signed onto the PlayStation Network since January 20 will be able to play online games and access applications such as Netflix during the period.

During maintenance the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be unavailable, those accessing these features may be notified of the maintenance period.

It seems the maintenance will only effect European audiences such as Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand and others alike, since no mention of the maintenance has been made on the North America PlayStation Blog.
