‘Outlast: Whistleblower’ DLC Coming April

Red Barrels has announced the Outlast: Whistleblower DLC will be released for PlayStation 4 and PC this April. The announcement was made on the Outlast Facebook page, yet no exact date was given.

The Whistleblower DLC has players control Weylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who alerted Outlast’s protagonist Miles Upshur regarding Mount Massive Asylum.

Weylon spent a few weeks at Mount Massive and was under strict security protocols, which kept him from talking to his wife or son about the experienced. Weylon developed a mistrust for the profit-motivated scientists at Mount Massive and decided he would unmask Mount Massive for the rotten place it was.

The Whistleblower DLC will actually stretch past the events of the original story, showing players the final chapter from the Mount Massive Asylum’s story.
