New Zealand Wii U Prices Announced

Last week during the Nintendo Wii U Preview Event, we were finally given the release date for the Will U console. The system will launch in Australia and New Zealand on November 30, just before the holiday season. Australia was also given the pricing for the console, while New Zealand was left to patiently wait. Thankfully the wait is over, today Nintendo announced the official price points for the Wii U in New Zealand.

The Wii U Basic Pack will retail at $469.95*, the Basic Pack contains the Wii U console with 8GB internal storage and a Wii U GamePad, both in white. The Wii U Premium Pack will total at $569.95*, it will contain a black Wii U and Wii U GamePad, with 32GB of internal storage, GamePad and console stand, GamePad charging cradle, sensor bar and the Nintendo Land software. Both packs will contain an HDMI cable and AC adapters for the console and GamePad.

Those who purchase the Premium Pack will also be included in the rewards programme feature called Nintendo Network Premium, this will allow users to gain points for each purchase on the Nintendo eShop. Which will be used towards future purchased from the eShop once they reach the minimum of 500 points. Network Premium will also allow 10% discount** to any purchase on the eShop.

New Zealand gamers are you happy about the price? Thinking of pre-ordering the console? Let us know in the comments below.
