New ‘MGS: Ground Zeroes’ Screens: Day/Night Cycle, Gameplay, App

Konami has released a plethora of new screenshots from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. The new screenshots features images from both the PlayStation and Xbox exclusive missions featured in Ground Zeroes, a depiction of the day/night cycle, and also images from the free Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes app.

Firstly the app will mimic Snake’s in-game device, which all allow players to call in air support, view in-game maps and even listen to cassette taps which can found throughout Ground Zeroes, which will allow players to improve their Mother Base. The app will be free and available for Android, iOS and Smart Glass enabled devices.

Those who purchase the PlayStation version of Ground Zeroes, will receive an exclusive mission which features the classic polygonal of Snake in a mission called Deja Vu. While Xbox players will receive an exclusive mission featuring Raiden called Jaimas Vu, where Raiden must infiltrate a military base and eliminate the threat. The new screenshots showcase both missions, which also feature a classic looking version of Psycho Mantis.

The last batch of screenshots display Snake infiltrating the base which has been heavily featured since Ground Zeroes was first announced. The images showcase the real time day/night cycle in action, showing the beautiful lighting that can be seen during the night via the Fox Engine. Snake is also shown taking down enemies, entering a tank (for a more brutal approach), picking locks, using his in-game communication device and avoiding being spotted by his foes.

Konami recently lowered the price of Ground Zeroes, which will now cost $49.95 in Australia and £29.99 in Europe. Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima recently addressed concerns regarding the length of Ground Zeroes, stating he believes “people will be satisfied with the “Play Time” of GZ [Ground Zeroes]”.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will release March 18 in North America and March 20 in Europe for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
