Medal of Honor: Warfighter Launch Trailer

EA has released the launch trailer for their big first person military shooter of the holiday season, Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The launch trailer focuses on multiplayer content, showing off the brilliant Frostbite Engine in all its wonderful glory.

Going through the trailer we notice that Action Commendations appear when certain objectives are met, one would assume these are similar to the challenges in Call of Duty. Extra challenges to add to how much experience points you gain during each match, if these challenges are beaten. We are also taken through a variety of maps including a small stone walled town, a mountain forest location and a very sandy open level possibly set in the middle-east.

Around half way through the video we see the player choosing what support action he wanted to bring onto the battlefield, the left option looks like a helicopter and the second one on the right looks almost like a rolling thunder napalm strike. These are definitely abilities you unlock during matches, more than likely through kill streaks and dominating your military opponents.

Frostbite Engine at work

The game looks beautiful, the graphics at work here almost rival a military movie and at first glance you may actually mistake it as such. The games maps are all based on real world locations, so this has given developer Danger Close the ability to craft the maps to 100% mirror their counterparts.

With 8 real world map locations, 6 classes, 12 international warfighters, 35 map mode combos and the new Homerun Mode, there is plenty of content in Warfighter’s multiplayer alone. If you are excited for Warfighter you can also pre-order to receive the Hunter Map Pack.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter releases worldwide on October 23, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Jamie Briggs has hopes he will one day look as good as the Frostbite Engine. He also runs Analog Addiction where you can find all the latest reviews, interviews and features and also like them on Facebook. Also follow his daily life on Twitter @AnalogAddiction and his videos on YouTube.
