‘Mario vs. Donkey Kong’ Nintendo’s First Cross-Buy Title

Nintendo has announced Mario vs. Donkey will be the company’s first ever game to feature cross-buy functionality between the Wii U and 3DS at the latest Nintendo Direct.

Those who purchase Mario vs. Donkey Kong on Wii U or 3DS, will receive a download code to download the game on the other platform.

This is a huge step for Nintendo fans who have wanted cross buy functionality, since it has been made prevalent between the Vita/PS3/PS4 consoles for numerous titles.

The first time Nintendo fans can enjoy cross-buy will be when Mario vs. Donkey Kong launches March 5.
