Konami Officially Cancels ‘Silent Hills’
It seemed to be set in stone, but Konami has now officially announced the cancellation of Silent Hills.
In a statement released by Konami, it was confirmed the Silent Hill franchise would continue but the Silent Hills project has come to an end.
“Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.”
Speculation that the Silent Hills project was in trouble began after Hideo Kojima’s future at Konami came into question, and when Konami announced the P.T (Playable Teaser) demo of Silent Hills was going to be removed from the PlayStation Store.
