Inside Assassin’s Creed III: Episode 1
Ubisoft has released Episode 1 of a new video series detailing the making of Assassin’s Creed III. Episode 1 contains many developers and revolutionary experts speaking about the historical accuracy that the game possesses, The Revolution was a brutal war and they have tried the best to bring that out within the game. Recording over 2 and a half hours of cinematic cut-scenes and containing over 30 hours of gameplay, Assassin’s Creed III looks to be the greatest undertaking yet for the series.
“Connor is more about justice, than revenge.” one developer stated, “He sees himself as a defender of the people” said Creative Director Alex Hutchinson. Noah Watts, the voice of Connor has also recorded many lines in the characters native tongue, that add that sense of realism to the character. They also talk about the AnvilNext game engine, after taking 3 years to improve the system they have been able to incoporate seasonal changes in weather and have up to 2,500 NPC’s on screen at the one time.

The next episode will feature an in-depth discussion on weapons, combat and tactics and how they have been incorporated into The Revolution time period.
Assassin’s Creed III is released October 30th in North America and 31st everywhere else, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
