Hitman: Absolution Voice Talent Announced

IO Interactive A/S, a Square Enix studio has today announced the voice talent behind their original assassins Agent 47 in their  upcoming  title, Hitman: Absolution. After an extended search reaching the ends of the Earth itself, IO Interactive was pleased to unveil the voice of Agent 47 will once again be played by David Bateson. Bateson has been Agent 47 since 2000, with the seminal PC release Codename 47.

Alongside Bateson, Will Mapother (Star of LOST) has performed all the motion capture for Agent 47, which was recorded at Giant Studios.

Welcome back Bateson

Brand Director on Hitman: Absolution Jon Brooke spoke about the decision to return to Bateson, after the studio first declared he wouldn’t be the voice for the barcode wearing assassin for their upcoming game. “IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get.

Bateson and Mapother join a long list of impressive talent already announced for the game including such names as Marsha Thomason, Keith Carradine, Vivica Fox and Powers Boothe.

Hitman: Absolution looks to be IO’s biggest and most ambitious Hitman game yet, the game is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 20 this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
