‘Grid 2’ Drift Gameplay & Asian Locations Revealed

Codemasters has released a new gameplay video for GRID 2, showcasing the games Drift events and key location in Asian settings.

The video entitled ‘World Series Racing3: Asia – New Frontiers’ focuses on the Asian cars, clubs and locations featured in GRID 2. During Drift events players will earn points for style, while driving on steep mountain roads. While Open Road Racing is represented in Touge events in Hong Kong, where players must pass their competition in contactless sprints.

Street Racing is showcased in Dubai, while Track Racing is shown at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

For players wanting to succeed in Drift events, skill must be used to maintain style and form as they traverse the intense tracks. Each Drift event will features three short multi-car runs on technical sections that feature corners and hairpins, players must earn the highest score possible using speed, angle and duration of their drifts in proximity to the drift markers on corners. These events are available in career mode, split-screen and online.

GRID 2 will release May 30 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
