God of War: Saga and Infamous Collection Announced

PlayStation fans that may have missed some of the huge first party titles over the years including God of War and Infamous do not fear your prayers have been answered. Sony is bringing both franchises to our happily awaiting hands in the form of two collections, both starting at $29.99. August 28th is the date that Ratchet and Clank’s own personal collection will be released, but to celebrate Sony is putting together a God of War and Infamous collection, at least for North America. No details yet regarding international releases, but they would be crazy not to.

I know what you are thinking, what are in these collections? Well a heap of content.

God of War Saga:

  1. God of War 1

  2. God of War 2

  3. God of War 3

  4. God of War: Ghosts of Sparta

  5. God of War: Chains of Olympus

  6. Exclusive Bonus Content

  7. 1 Month Free Trial of PlayStation Plus membership.

Some excellent box art

Infamous Collection:

  1. Infamous 1

  2. Infamous 2

  3. Infamous: Festival of Blood

  4. Extra Missions

  5. Additional character costumes, power-ups and weapon styles.

An excellent series

No details have been released regarding what the bonus content for both games will include, but the fact Sony stated the collections will start at $29.99 indicate that some or maybe 1 (Looking at you Kratos) may be a little more expensive. Also there has been no confirmation if these games will include new trophies, so players may get a second Platinum Trophy or what specific games will be released digitally.

News of a God of War Saga collection sprouted last week, when information was sent from a retail source to Siliconera. PlayStation Blog has also commented, hinting at “additional news in the coming weeks about which games you can expect to get their own Collections this fall,” and as always, keep it tuned to Analog Addiction for more information as it is released.
