Gamescom 2014: Next Generation ‘FIFA 15’ Features New Goalkeeper AI

EA has announced EA Sports FIFA 15 will feature new rewritten goalkeepers for next generation hardware and PC, in hopes to bring a new level of realism to each match.

Goalkeepers will now look, move, and think like their real world counterparts due to new AI. The new additions will allow them to anticipate shots and passes, moving with positional awareness and an array of new animations.

“We’re delivering innovations and improvements that have been at the top of our fans’ wish list: new goalkeepers, more responsive gameplay,” said David Rutter, Vice President and General Manager at EA . “This year we’ve put the game in the hands of fans earlier than ever before, listened, and delivered what they want in gameplay, authenticity, and modes.”

EA Sports FIFA 15 is scheduled to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, while also coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii and 3DS.
