Foxtel Play Launches in Australia For PS3, Coming Soon to PS4

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has announced Foxtel Play is now available for PlayStation 3, with the service coming soon to PlayStation 4.

PlayStation 3 owners can now download the Foxtel Play app and use their console to subscribe to the service. Foxtel has recently began a push to increase the number of Complete Seasons, and on-demand selections available on their service to their subscribers, which will be accompany over 45 channels that are already available.

“Foxtel Play is a fantastic addition to our suite of entertainment services,” said Michael Ephraim, Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, “one that all the family can enjoy.”

“We’re thrilled to continue our drive to expand availability of Foxtel Play for Australian subscribers,” said Rohan Lund, Foxtel’s Chief Operating Officer, “With the addition of PS3, that expansion just got a massive boost for the 2 million Australians already enjoying great digital experiences on their PlayStation 3 consoles.”

There is no word on when Foxtel Play will be available for PlayStation 4 owners, where it will join the list of already available apps that launched alongside the system in November last year.
