First Major ‘WildStar’ Content Update Revealed

Carbine Studios has revealed the first massive content update for WildStar, which will be called the Strain Ultra Drop.

The content will take players to a new zone called Blighthavem which contains the Cankertube swamp and “gastrointestinal terrors”. New solo content will also be included in the form of a tower defense like game known as Guardians of the Grove and a dungeon-like area for group combat called The Nursery; which will include a boss encounter with the Strain-corrupted Elyona the Mad.

Players will also gain access to new Strain-themed gear, housing items, costumes and mounts. The Strain Ultra Drop will also allow players to revisit previous areas that will now be drastically altered, which will see the Northern Wilds become the Northern Wastes featuring a crash site.
