‘Fire Emblem: Awakening’ Demo Now Available in ANZ

Nintendo 3DS owners in Australia and New Zealand now have access to the demo of Fire Emblem: Awakening, which is now available on the Nintendo eShop.


In Fire Emblem: Awakening you are able to create your character to take them on a personal journey, as you join Prince Chrom and the Shepards as they try to calm the animosity between the kingdoms Ylisse and Plegia. As you command your army in turn-based battles utilising your units unique skills, these battles are shown in cinematic camera positions allowing you to deal the finishing blow in first-person.

Awakening allows you to create a formidable army through friendships and marriages, allowing children to fight alongside their parents. The latest Fire Emblem also brings back perma-death, however this can be disabled for players who are new to the series in Newcomer Mode.


Cooperative challenges are also offered to players that connect with friends, whilst offering some lush 3D visuals utilising the unique 3D abilities of the handheld system. For the first time Fire Emblem will also offer free and paid downloadable content for the game, SpotPass allows players to encounter legendary Fire Emblem opponents to receives special items, maps and new co-op challenges. In addition the first downloadable content map will be free for a limited time at launch.

Fire Emblem: Awakening releases on the eShop and retail stores April 20 in Australia and New Zealand, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
