‘Final Fantasy XV’ Confirmed for 2016, New Screens, Concept Art, Gameplay
Square Enix has confirmed Final Fantasy XV will release in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The confirmation was made during the latest Active Time Report from PAX Prime over the weekend. Final Fantasy XV Director, Hajime Tabata also showcased new assets and a video message from Avalanche Studios Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Christofer Sundberg.
“We’re proud of our technical capabilities and the work we’ve done to help shape the open-world genre,” said Sundberg. “We hold the Final Fantasy franchise and the team working on it, in such high regard and are excited to be a part of the next chapter.”
New concept art (above) and screenshots (below) were also revealed, alongside an extended look at the driving features in Final Fantasy XV; which can be seen in the video above.
Those looking for additional Final Fantasy XV information can also check out the upcoming Active Time Report during next month’s Tokyo Game Show. The new ATR will cover details on Luna and Regis, as well as the fishing mini-game and chocobo-related features.
