‘FIFA 14 Legacy Edition’ Doesn’t Update Gameplay or Game Modes

It has been revealed the FIFA 14 Legacy Edition (available for 3DS, Vita, Wii and PlayStation 2) will contain no updates to the gameplay that was found in FIFA 13.

The information was found in a Nintendo press release regarding the weekly eShop update in Europe, in-which the Legacy Edition is described as the following.

“[FIFA 14 Legacy Edition] delivers unmatched authenticity that reflects the current football season with updated kits and rosters but no updates to gameplay or game modes.”

Sadly, this means the Legacy Edition is nothing more than a roster update. Shockingly the title will retail for €49.99 in Europe and £39.99 in the United Kingdom, carrying no discount for year-old gameplay.

Vita and Wii owners will suffer most from these details, as last year’s title on both systems barely offered any significant new gameplay aspects. What does this mean? It means Vita and Wii owners will be experiencing gameplay that had been released two years prior.

Do you think a full price-tag, for what could possibly be DLC is justified? Let us know in the comments below.
