‘Fallout 4’ Automatron DLC Release Date Announced, New Gameplay Trailer

Bethesda has released a new trailer and release date for Fallout 4‘s first add-on, Automatron.

The Automatron add-on will be available to download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 22 and will cost US $10, AUD $14.95 and NZD $19.95; or will be included with any purchase of the Fallout 4 Season Pass.

Automatron will feature the mysterious Mechanist, who has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Players must hunt them down and harvest their parts in order to build and mod their own custom robot companions. Players can utilise different armour, limbs, abilities, weapons (including a new lightning chain gun), paint schemes, and even choose their robots voice (for characters level 15 or higher).

Automatron is the first add-on to release for Fallout 4, with Wasteland Workshop launching in April, and Far Harbor in May. Wasteland Workshop will expand the capabilities of settlements, while Far Harbor will the a new land mass called Maine; which is the largest landmass Bethesda Game Studios has ever created for post-release content.

Free updates including the addition of Survival Mode, and the Creation Kit (allowing players to create mods on PC and access them on consoles) will also be releasing throughout 2016.

Fallout 4 is available now Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can also read AA’s full review here.
