‘F1 2013’ Announced – New Trailer, Features & Screenshots

F1 2013 will include a new F1 Classics mode, giving fans the chance to race classic cars on iconic circuits against legendary drivers; which is a first for the Codemasters series.

F1 2013 will feature all cars, circuits and drivers from the 2013 season. It will also include updated rules, tyre changes and a remodeled handling system to mirror the authentic F1 driving simulator. Split-screen and online multiplayer return, alongside new and returning game modes to deliver the most robust F1 gaming experience yet.

Classics Mode will include a range of content from the 1980s, introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker. Allowing players to face off against drivers such as Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, and Gerhard Berger and more. Classic Mode content can also be accessed during split-screen and online multiplayer, allowing for a larger range of racing options.

F1 2013 will also release in a premium Classic Edition, which offers players two additional content packs from the 1990s and additional tracks. The 1990s pack also includes famous drivers such as David Coulthard, Jacques Villeneuve, Eddie Irvine, Alain Prost and others. Players can purchase both DLC packs separate, shortly after release.

Codemasters free online community called RaceNet will also be supported in F1 2013, offering players in-game challenges, community wide challenges and visual stat and game progress. RaceNet also featured strongly in their latest racer, GRID 2.
