‘Escape Dead Island’ Announced for PS3, 360, PC
Deep Silver has announced Escape Dead Island, a third-person single-player survival mystery that takes place in-between the original Dead Island and the recently announced Dead Island 2.
Escape Dead Island is being developed by Fatshark Sweden and will unravel the origins of the zombie outbreak in the Dead Island universe. Players will control Cliff Calo, who has ventured to the Banoi archipelago to document the rumoured events occurring within the region. Arriving on the island of Narapela Cliff finds himself experiencing deja vu, which will be a key aspect throughout the game. Deep Silver has stated that Escape Dead Island will be story driven, which will focus on Cliff and the origins of the outbreak
The spin-off title will feature the same action oriented melee combat Dead Island fans have come to expect from the series with an array of unique weapons, alongside a new visual novel-esque art style which can be seen in the attached screenshots and announcement trailer.
Escape Dead Island will release in autumn 2014 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
