Though there is no confirmation, a tweet on the official Bethesda Twitter account states players needing a Dishonored fix before “next year” can enjoy the Dishonored: Definitive Edition; which was also announced during the Bethesda E3 showcase.
This is no confirmation Dishonored 2 will release next year, but it is certainly a strong indication that this could be the case.
Dishonored 2 was revealed during the Bethesda E3 showcase, revealing that players can control original series protagonist Corvo, or a new character named Emily Kaldwin. Emily is the rightful heir to the throne from the original game, and that players can finish the entire game without killing a single enemy.
