E3 2014 – Ubisoft Holding Wii U Titles Until “More Popular”
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has told IGN in a press roundtable that Ubisoft has titles set to release for Holiday 2014 (Watch Dogs, Just Dance 2015), while other titles will have to wait until the Wii U itself has become” more popular”.
“We still have another game that we are waiting for the machine to become more popular before launch,” Guillemot said. “It’s more addressed at families, and it’s not yet there. We are waiting for that machine to be more distributed so that we can increase the number of games.”
Guillemot continued by stating, “We have a game that has been done for six months; it is on our shelf waiting until more families to have the machine.”
It seems like Wii U owners are once again getting the short end of the stick when it comes to gaming releases, but Guillemot hopes Super Smash can bring “better level of sales.” to the continue.
