E3 2014 – Spider-Man Play Set Coming to ‘Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes’
Disney Interactive has announced the latest Play Set that will be appearing in Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes – Marvel’s Spider-Man Play Set. Alongside the announcement was the release of a new gameplay trailer, which offers a first look at the new characters coming to the Play Set and Toy Box 2.0.
The new Spider-Man Play Set will also contain its own storyline, which will follow the Green Goblin as he tries to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. Green Goblin captures Venom to extract and clone symbiotes, then hires Mysterio as his second in command to set destruction upon the Marvel Universe. Players will face off against symbiotes, Mysterio and the Green Goblin in an array of areas, which include sewers, labs, and the skies above Manhattan.
The Play Set will also include a plethora of playable characters, which includes Nick Fury, Iron Fist, Nova, Venom and Spider-Man himself; while characters like White Tiger, Black Cat and Luke Cage will be making additional appearances.
The Spider-Man Play Set will be coming to retail stores this Spring, with additional Play Sets and characters being announced over the coming months.
Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes was announced last month and will release this Spring for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, iOS tablets and smart phones, alongside Disney Infinity’s first venture into next generation consoles with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions also coming.
