E3 2014 – ‘Rainbow Six Siege’ Announced, Gameplay Showcased

Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, has revealed Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege during the Ubisoft E3 press conference.

The pre-alpha footage Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege shown showcased a multiplayer match between two teams, one was utilising cameras to view inside and locate a hostage, before dropping onto the house in order to blow a window and take down the enemy team inside. During this sequence the team inside was barricading walls and windows in order to stop the incoming team from capturing their target.

During the match both teams utilised dynamic cover from destroyed walls and doors, in order to capture and hold the hostage in question. As the countdown timer counted down to zero, one team was given the task to escort the hostage out of the home, before the footage came to an abrupt end, as a player from both opposing teams had their final stand.

Rainbow Six: Siege will be coming in 2015 to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
