Did Nolan North Just Confirm ‘The Last of Us 2’?

The voice of Nathan Drake himself Nolan North, may have just revealed that a sequel to the critically acclaimed The Last of Us could be in the works.

During a recent Q&A at Metrocon North let slip a throwaway comment regarding The Last of Us 2, though following the comment North never once seems to react as if he said something he shouldn’t have.

“For now, last one,” North said when asked if he was working with Naughty Dog on any other projects following Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. “I know they’re doing a Last of Us 2 but my character in Last of Us kind of had an untimely demise.”

This is by no means a confirmation that The Last of Us 2 exists, and North could have simply been assuming a sequel was in development, or perhaps talks regarding a sequel have been made behind closed doors.

We do know a film version of The Last of Us is being developed, and ideas for a possible sequel have been explored within Naughty Dog. But until there is an official confirmation, we must continue to wait with bated breath.
