Darksiders 2 DLC Abyssal Forge Announced

If you have finished Darksiders 2 and its first downloadable content pack Argul’s Tomb, don’t fear THQ has announced the second content pack for the game, called the Abyssal Forge. The content will arrive October 30 on all platforms, European users will have to wait until October 31 and the pack will cost $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. The pack adds a new swap-esque environment called Shadow Lands, but also adds new dungeons, new enemy types, new legendary loot and plenty more.

“The Abyssal Forge is a living machine designed to harness the unfocussed dark power of the Abyss and create the most powerful legendary weapons,” THQ states. “The Maker who built this abomination, known only as the Mad Smith, was shunned by his own people and sealed away in the Shadow Lands with his creation. However, the forge hasn’t remained dormant all those years of captivity; it has constructed a vast army and now threatens all creation.”

The Shadow Lands themselves will contain two new dungeons that contain the most challenging enemies and puzzles the game has yet seen.

Darksiders 2 was released back in August to strong first month sales; it will also hit the Nintendo Wii U on the consoles launch day of November 18.
