Creative Assembly Confirms Second ‘Total War: Rome II’ Patch

Creative Assembly launched the first Patch for Total War: Rome II on Friday (full patch notes), aimed at helping players suffering from problems with frame-rate and certain set-ups. However the studio has confirmed Patch 2 is already in the process of being developed to improve upon even more problems.

Creative Assembly has released an official statement regarding the next Rome II Patch.

“Patch 2 is already in internal testing, and is expected to be publically available as a beta on Monday, more news then but this patch is planned to include fixes for low-poly models viewed close-up, performance settings on certain hardware combinations and siege battle path-finding amongst other improvements.”

Though problems are only plaguing 2% of Rome II’s community, Creative Assembly is “very unhappy” these players are experiencing these issues and are aiming to correct these problems as soon as possible.

Expert modders have already released mods of the base game, which can be found on the Rome II forums. There are also an array of technical solutions for playing experiencing any problems with Rome II.
