Capcom Confirms ‘Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Duel Destinies’ Western Release
Capcom confirmed today that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Duel Destinies will be available for digital purchase on Nintendo 3DS, across Europe and North America this Autumn.
Previously announced for the West as Ace Attorney 5, the game will be set eight years since his last court appearance. Dual Destinies begins inside a destroyed courtroom , where it’s up to Wright and his Wright Anything Agency to discover the cause of the destruction. Players will face Gaspen Payne and his younger brother Winston from previous Ace Attorney titles, inside the courtroom as they defend the accused.
This will be Phoenix Wright’s first foray into stunning 3D graphic, allowing players to investigate crime scenes using the 3D vials that allows changes of view and zooming in to uncover hidden pieces of evidence. The usual beloved gameplay and dramatic courtroom battles will also return.
Phoenix will be joined by young Attorney Apollo Justice and new Associate Attorney Athena Cykes. Athena can psychoanalyze witnesses adding a new element to proceedings, while using Athena’s Mood Matrix will allow players to detect the emotional state of the witness. Players can use this information to compare their emotional state to their statement given, pointing out contradictions between the two.
