‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Next-Generation Upgrade Promotion Detailed
Activision has released in-depth details regarding the process to upgrading current-generation copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One copies, alongside information on keeping Season Pass content and carrying over your profile statistics as you transition.
Xbox One Upgrade Offers
Players will be able to purchase a disc-less dual-license version of Ghosts at participating retailers, for a suggested retail price of $109.95AUD. This version will contain both an Xbox 360 and Xbox One digital copy that will be linked an unlocked via the user’s Xbox Live gamertag. More information on how to pre-order this version of Ghosts will be made available in the coming weeks.
Players can also purchase an Xbox 360 version of Ghosts directly from the Xbox Live Marketplace for a suggested retail price of $99.95AUD. Using the Game Ahead Program players can then purchase a digital version of Ghosts on Xbox One for a suggested retail price of $10AUD & NZD on the Xbox Live Marketplace
PlayStation 4 Upgrade Offers
The PlayStation upgrade promotion is completely optional for players, with both retail and digital sales on PlayStation 4 offering an upgrade to PlayStation 4.
Retails copies of Ghosts on PlayStation 3 will include a leaflet with a unique SEN code on it. Redeeming this code on the PlayStation Store will allow players to purchase a PlayStation 4 version of the game for $10AUD & NZD.
If you purchase your copy digitally however, going to the PlayStation Store will offer the PlayStation 4 version for $10AUD & NZD.
These offers must be redeemed, and upgrades purchased before March 21st 2014; with these offers available globally.
Activision has confirmed transitioning from either current generation versions to next generation, will seamlessly see your statistic and unlock carry from one version to another. The statistics will be tied to your Call of Duty account, meaning simply signing up for a Call of Duty account will see all your statistics remain intact between each version.
Players worrying about their Season Pass content carrying over between generations, can sleep easy. The Season Pass content will carry over between each version at no additional costs, offering players four DLC Map Packs. The offer will be available until May 31, 2014.
Players that purchase the Season Pass will also receive the Team Leader digital content pack that includes a unique multiplayer character head, weapon camo, recticle, player patch, player card and player background.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC November 5. Players are able to pre-order the game from Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and Steam for a suggested retail price of $99.95AUD.
Players looking to purchase the Call of Duty: Ghosts Digital Hardened Edition, will also be able to pre-order via their online stores at a suggested retail price of $149.95AUD. This edition includes the Season Pass content and digital bonuses such as the Team Leader digital content pack, bonus in-game Ghosts Insignia Pack and Digital Hardened Edition In-Game Item Pack.
