‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance’ DLC Releasing July 2nd

Activision has announced the third downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, known as Vengeance.

Vengeance will offer players four new multiplayer maps such as Cove, which is set on small forgotten island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Detour will take place on a multi-tiered bridge offering players two different means of attack. Rush is set inside a paint ball area, focusing on closer quarters fighting. While Uplink is a re-imagining of the Call of Duty: Black Ops fan favourite map Summit.

Fans of Zombies will have a new map called Buried, which will take inside an underground Old West mining town. Characters from the games original Zombies mode will return, including a new enemy that players can use to destroy their enemies or take down themselves. Vengeance will also offer a new Zombies Map weapons, known as the Ray Gun Mark II. The newly designed Ray Gun has the ability to eliminate multiple zombies in one shot.

“When it’s difficult to see the line between playtesting and leisurely gaming around the studio, it’s a sure sign that we’ve created something fun with Vengeance,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.  “From the four multiplayer maps to our new Zombies experience, “Buried,” Vengeance continues doing what we set out to accomplish from the very beginning of development on Call of Duty: Black Ops II: pushing the boundaries of fans’ expectations.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance will be available to Xbox 360 owners first July 2, for the price of 1200 Microsoft Points. Other consoles will receive this content at a later date and we will update you when those dates are confirmed.
