‘Battlefield Hardline’ PlayStation 4 Beta Gameplay

Throughout the last week EA and Visceral Games have been hosting the Battlefield Hardline Beta on PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. The Beta contains one map known as High Tension, alongside two modes – Heist and Blood Money.

Our editors have been stealing as much money as possible in the new cops vs. robbers themed multiplayer suite, and thought we should share some gameplay footage from the PlayStation 4 Beta version below.

Our first video showcases the mode – Heist – where the robbers side must crack into an armoured van and steal the cash prize inside. While this is happening the police are trying to stop the criminals and make sure they don’t drop the loot at the two drop points. If the police are able to keep the criminals from dropping the loot at these drop off points within the time limit, the cops come away victorious; while the criminals are aiming to drop off their winnings to take take the win.

The second multiplayer mode within the Beta is called – Blood Money – which sees both the criminals and police looking to collect 5 million dollars, the criminals want to take the cash home, while the police want it for evidence. In the middle of the map is a cash pile where players can take up to 500K at one time, though the more money you decide to take will see you defenseless for longer periods of time. Aside from the money pile, players can also steal from the opposing teams loot to gain the cash needed.

Above is a montage of some of our best kills from our time in Battlefield Hardline, showcasing some awesome moments and brutal headshots.

Lastly, we wanted to showcase the main sample of destruction available on High Tension; which involves bringing down a skyscraper sized crane. Players must take out three of the four sections holding the crane in place, before the crane comes down in spectacular fashion. The cranes destruction also brings forth new ways of traversing the map, while also creating game changing moments if timed correctly.

How have you been enjoying your time in the Battlefield Hardline Beta? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming written impressions.

Battlefield Hardline will release October 21 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
