‘Assassin’s Creed Victory’ Leaked, Set in London
It seems the 2015 Assassin’s Creed title has been leaked, which will be set in 19th century London during the Victorian era and titled Assassin’s Creed Victory and will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Kotaku has reported.
The extensive leak was released earlier today which revealed that Ubisoft Quebec will be developing the 2015 release, alongside a set of screenshots which provide our first look at Victory’s take on 19th century London.
Kotaku were also showcased a seven-minute “target gameplay footage” video that was produced entirely in Anvil, the engine used for Assassin’s Creed, thus it was not pre-rendered.
The video showcased the for unknown assassin player scaling a tower to access a viewpoint, before entering a carriage to accept an assassination contract. The carriage is then attacked and the assassin battles an opponent on top of the moving vehicle, before making its way to a train station. A grappling hook was showcased to traverse the environment, which is a new tool to the series.
Ubisoft has also commented on the leak, which seems to all but confirm that this information is indeed legitimate.
“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”
