Assassin’s Creed 3 Multiplayer Details
The latest video from Assassin’s Creed 3 focuses on the multiplayer aspect this time around, though it may not achieve such numbers as Call of Duty or Halo Assassin’s Creed multiplayer is renowned for its unique style and format.
The video introduces some of the maps we will be introduced in Assassin’s Creed 3, the harsh icy map known as the North West Passage, the combination of land and sea in the Boston Harbour or the picturesque map known as the Virginian Plantation. With 16 player skins available to choose from, ranging from the brute force of The Carpenter, to the tenacity of the Native American inspired skin known as the bear. These skins also include military variants and many more.
The single player multiplayer modes include such things as Deathmatch, whilst the co-op Wolf Pack Mode allows for assassination with a friend, or your standard team based mode of Domination. Wolf Pack gives players a timer in which they must kill their opponents within, otherwise fall to the same fate. Domination however allows teams to locate capture points, then hold onto the area long enough to secure victory as your opposition look to spill your blood and take the point for themselves.
The forbidden North West Passage
The customization options within the multiplayer suite also offer players the chance to select unique weapons and skills for their character. One skill known as Moneybomb is used to throw coins on the ground to attract civilians and reveal their targets, and then you have the skill called Glimmer which allows a player to become almost invisible, the slower you move the harder it is to see the brutal kill your enemy is about to face. Players can also choose perks to use during the entire duration of the match, for instance the Blender perk changes 1 civilian to look exactly like your chosen character. The Unstoppable perk however allows you to burst through civilians without fail as you pursue your victims.
So many choices
Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available October 31 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, with the Wii U version releasing at a later date.
