All Grand Theft Auto Locations in One Game

Rockstar has expressed their interest in creating one Grand Theft Auto game in the distant future that combines all the locations from previous games.t. Meaning you could travel between the mountains of San Andreas, all the way to the streets of Algonquin. In an interview with Digital Trends, the head of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies stated his vision to one day make this game a reality.

“Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas,” Benzies stated. “In that context re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting.”

Since the Vice City games were stationed within the 1980’s a new age Vice City, may look extremely different, which Benzies understands “it is always a possibility. There are a few references to the city in our current-gen GTAs so it is part of that HD universe, and it is certainly somewhere we would love to revisit. However Vice City, perhaps more than any other GTA game, was as much about the era as the setting. Miami in the 1980’s is so iconic it would feel strange to revisit the city in a different time period.”

One of my friends all time dream games is a Grand Theft Auto title that allows you to travel around the globe, visiting cities as you please, making the open-world genre exactly that. Though this may not be on that level, it is one step in that idea one day becoming reality.

But until that distant future, keep it locked to 2013 and the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto V. Maybe even re-watch the latest trailer for hours on end, I know I did.
