24 Hours Closed SimCity Beta Announced

SimCity’s March launch has many fans excitingly waiting its release, but fans looking for an early taste of the city building fun now have their chance.

Maxis (creators of SimCity) have announced a second SimCity Closed Beta, which will open 1am EST on February 17 to 1am EST on February 18. The Closed Beta will include an enhanced edition of the one-hour of gameplay shown in the previous Beta.

If you cannot wait for the March launch and want to participate in the games Closed Beta, the sign-ups are located on SimCity’s website here.

Maxis has also unveiled a brand new trailer for the game, showcasing the Limited Edition exclusive content that is available with the game, located above.

The Heroes and Villains set allows players to upgrade their police squad to the level of super hero, while the evil mastermind Dr. Vu’s headquarters is also available for your city. Allowing players high tech development, but also having to deal with the chaos left by his evil henchman.

Everybody loves lasers

SimCity will launch exclusively on PC this March 5 in North America, March 7 in Japan and March 8 in Europe. Players can also pre-order the exclusive SimCity Exclusive Digital Edition from Origin.
