17 Y.O Developer Launches Debut App ‘Shrinking Shapes’

These days it is becoming easier and easier to become a games developer with such a prominent independent scene, but there is still a lot of hard work required to make that dream a reality. Daniel J Smith is a 17 year old developer who wants to create that reality.

Shrinking Shapes is Smith’s first app, which is now available on the Google Play Store. Shrinking Shapes tasks the players to tap the correct shape within a limited time limit, but it isn’t as easy as it seems. The player may be told to tap the ‘Green Square’, but the font in question is red, a simple trick that is used to fool the player.

Aiming for fast times may seem easy enough, but reacting to your subconscious first instinct may mean an incorrect choice. It’s a simple concept that aims to test your thinking and problem solving abilities.

If you’d like to play Shrinking Shapes yourself, it is available for free on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
